Is now the time to become a freelancer?

Freelancing is consisting of many different fields, many different activities. Being a freelancer was the dream of many in the past years. Many have also failed, but many have also succeeded! Being a Digital Nomad, having our own work schedule, and doing what we love is priceless, right?
Being a freelancer is basically to run your own business. You have to be the worker, the manager, the accountant, the executive, the customer support, and the boss in the meantime. It sounds scary and overwhelming at first. And it actually is, until you get used to it. But afterward…
Mainstream reason to become a freelancer
Imagine that before becoming a freelancer, you spent every day 30 minutes or 1 hour getting ready to go to work. Then, for many of us it could be just a 5 minutes walk, but for many of us getting to work may take up to 1 hour. If you’re a freelancer, working from home, you already saved one and a half hours (at least) of your day!
With the pandemic kicking in, many of us were forced to work from home. If you’re one of those, you now understand the positive and the negative parts of being a freelancer, when it comes to the idea of working from home. Right?
Being a freelancer isn’t easy and it’s definitely not for everyone!
However, it’s a dream come true, for many of us! For me, it is, definitely! I always hated dressing up, waking up early, having to travel to work and back…
Wasting a lot of time on lunch breaks that we had to take… When I was in the office, I just couldn’t wait to have my hours done and get out. It all felt such a waste of time, and I hate wasting my time…
Now, that I work from home, I can spend that extra time having a great breakfast, cooking a fresh meal for lunch, doing yoga on my break, or just sleeping one hour more every day.
I can start working when I want, and I can stop when I want. This doesn’t mean though that I’d be working less! I’m actually working double as before. I wake up at 9 am, sitting on my laptop, and I usually work until I go to sleep at midnight.
